Dec 31, Have a Happy New Year....

....and hope 2010 will be great!

I promised in my previous blog I would brief you about the progress of my fingers!
The thing I have been sleeping with for the past week has paid off. Finally there has been progresss in bending my fingers!!! My PT had to adjust the evil thing to make the fingers bend more which is great news. I can even see a difference in my ring finger!!
I am very very happy about the results. But it sure wasn't a nice session since the doctor I got to see really forced the fingers to bend. She kept telling me, do yoga breathing and it will hurt less. I know that's true but I was like, sure, right, good luck with this pain that you are causing me! I wanted to try to escape the grip she had around my fingers. Ha ha ha.
The verdict is that if there will be progress, the doc says we have to really force the fingers to bend since the fingers really have gotten stuck. It will hurt no doubt about it but there is no other way. ANd I should expect it to take up to 2 years for a full recovery!
So this morning, December 31st, I am sitting in my kitchen forcing my fingers to bend, doing my yoga breathing. Sadistic method but what ever it takes to get my fingers better!!!

I really didn't expect this fall to be the way it turned out to be, especially after having a fantastic 3 week long vacation in the US seing many of my really close friends. I hope that 2010 will be a better year and that all my friends and family also get to have a fantastic 2010. Especially some friends that I know has had and extremely crappy 2009. I really hope and wish them even more so that 2010 will be a fantastic year filled with new opportunities and great fun times. Let's look forward towards brighter times!

Finally, I am not going to make any great promises for next year. Though, I want to try to be and stay positive when ever to boat is rocking hard! Nothing gets better by being negative. It is tough to always stay positive but I will try to do my best.

Take care and be careful where ever you are!  See you in 2010!
