2012 Maj 6- Turning 35 is pretty dang good
Yes, today I am turning 35! And so far I haven't gotten any life crisis as far as I know....and why should I have a 35 year old crisis since I don't look a day over 28!!! ;) Just kidding...but no no life crisis in my life as far as I know.
It has been a good day that started off at about 7.22 when I got up and had breakkie. I poked around at home, made my favourite cheese cake, New York blueberry chees cake, that I would serve for dessert for the birthday dinner I was going to host for the family.
The day progressed and around noon I went and recycled some garbage, then I went and hit golf balls at the driving ranch. When I got home is was time to get ready and start prepping for dinner. The dinner table was going to serve cardamom chicken with a cardamom, cinnemon honey yoghurt sauce, grated carrots and broccoli and oven roasted potaoes. And as the picture above shows a delicious cheesecake. If it was possible to send food I would send the cheese cake to my family members who couldn't make it.
Around 3 pm my brother Pelle, my-sister-in-law Åsa and their two girls arrived. Shortly after that my sister-in-law parents and her grandmother arrived and last but not the least Danne, sister-in-law's brother arrived. Now we were a full house in my usually rather empty apartment. Oh and yes, kitty cat Freja of course. No, I haven't gotten a cat but I am cat sitting for 10 days. So total of 9 people and a cat...I would call that a full house :)
We had a great afternoon and a great dinner together. Now, I asked for no presents but the present I got couldn't have been better. I got gift certificate to buy a new tv since my tv isn't really functioning properly. Yeah, soon I know the tv will actually give me a picture when I turn it on. Thanks so much all of you for a great gift. I would never have gotten myself to save money to buy a new tv.
As if that wasn't enough I also got a brunch with my brother and Åsa. Now we just gotta get a baby sitter for the girls so the three of us can go :) And to top that off I got beautiful flowers.
Unfortunately, little Freja tends to prefer to eat the flowers. I do give her food but I guess flowers taste better....
Also, thanks for all the txt messages, phone calls and emails wishing me a happy birthday!
