Jan 13- again SOLD and planned my skiing trip

Last night I went to a meeting to vote for my rental unit to turn into a co-op. To begin with, I really don't know what to think about people after this meeting?! A lot of them where whining about not getting enough information about various questions, economy and renovation costs etc. for the buildings that we are planning to own as a co-op. I ask myself then, what did you do with the info we got in September when we had the information meeting??!!

Back in september we got all the preliminary calculations for the economy, technical specifications for the buildings and so on. So we have gotten the info but last night it was so much whining about not getting this type of info. Then there were a lot of questions regarding loans and what the exakt cost will be. I guess I have been owning before so I get most of the ordeal. But, if you have questions and don't know the answers to any of the above things, don't you then, as an individual, go out and seek the information or try clarify the information yourself!? Especially when it comes to such big things as buying a place instead of renting?!

I just felt that I am moving to a place where there are a lot of people who just assume people will give the information to them without them not trying to find it themself. And having those kinds of people in a new co-op will be a pain in the rear end!! Personally, I have really difficult times to understand these kinds of people that are just sitting around waiting for information when it is up to oneself to be a bit active since you are going to buy property!! Ahhhhffffggggg.....

So anyway, the result is that after 2 1/2 hours and voting and lots more whining, the association voted for the rentals to turn into co-ops! Rentals SOLD to turn into co-ops. Yeah!! But I ask myself, how long will I be staying there!? Though, that is an entire different discussion!! So much to do in this place and I don't feel like another renovation right now. I am still exhausted from the current one that finished just a month ago!

So since the project architect at the place I am consulting at currently cleared that it was ok for me to take vacation I booked my skiiing trip this morning!!! That is even a bigger yeah in so many ways! I really need to get away from all this craziness that has been going on for the last few months! I really haven't been away on vacation since I went to the US September of 2009. So I am really looking forward to this trip.
Where I am heading....To Argientière (I think is is spelled that way) in the french alps. So can't wait!!!

Till next time, be careful and take care of yourself!!
