The days go by......

Last week was a good week. My physical strength and endurance is coming back. Nowadays I manage to take longer walks and also I sort of keep up the pace with Lakrits.
The voice is also getting more stable but still very weak sound wise. I think I will never get away from having this whiskey sound voice but the strength to talk during a longer time will hopefully get better. I guess I am in the process of starting to accept my voice alteration. Lucky I am just an architect....shouldn't need to talk, just point 😜

Last week I also got a few more surprises.
Thursday I got a message on FB from Frida asking if she could swing by for a coffe. Of course she should! So good to see you, It's been awhile. And she brought something really delicious with her....homemade rhubarb "saft". Sort of like lemonade.
Thanks for taking your morning off to come and see me! 💜

Then I get a phone call that I will receive flowers. After my early evening walk with Lakrits I had flowers and chocolates outside my door. It was from my oldest childhood friend Sara and her sisters.
It will look so beautiful over Christmas! Thank you! And the chocolates are really yummi😃

So Thursday was a day filled with surprises😃
Last week I also got notices in the mail that I had 2 packages to pick up. I didn't manage to pick them up until Saturday. So curious bc one I didn't know who it was from.....

One package was from my dear college friends, Joyce Tsang!
You sure knew what to send me! I totally love the Starbucks cup! My new morning coffe cup😃 And all the chocolates! Yum yum!

Seriously, I will get fat from being sick! Lucky me I have a dog that needs lots of excercise and walks!

The second package was a total
surprise but I totally love it and been using it every day now. Thanks Jen B!

Beautifully wrapped....didn't want to open.
And in it it was coloring pens and this coloring book with patterns to fill...prefect stress reliever. Love it!
Funny thing is that I got a similar one from Utta when she was here and I was about to go and by coloring pens. But thanks to Jen I didn't need to buy makers.

Both books and markers will indeed come with me when I do the radiation session and will be locked up for 2-3 days at hospital due to being so radioactive.

And yesterday, Sunday, I had a lovely walk and longest by far since surgery, with Johanna and Xsara (German Shepard). Despite rainy and gloomy weather it was so good to hang out and see the dogs playing. And at the end of the walk in the forest preserve it had stopped! After that I needed to rest. Should probably have needed more than the 1 1/2 hour before I headed the my sister-in-law's parents to celebrate and have 1st of advent dinner. For me it has become a tradition and I really like it! Now I just wish for freezing degrees and loads of snow!

While I am writing this blog the doc called and he said that they discussed my case on the conference. I will get a high dosage of radioactive jod treatment and most likely it will be before the end of this year. Good.
Since my tumour was a bit complex and complicated they had discussed other treatments then the "regular" but with all the facts they have they believe all that I need is the "regular" radiation treatment. Good sign I think!

And while I drank my afternoon coffe and did some coloring, Lakrits is taking a nap next to me. Yes today she got to stay at home with me.
